Power advancement module boosts the X6 M50d to 462 hp (340 kW);
tailored suspension modification perfectly completed by the distinctive wheel/tyre combination; the exclusive individualisation kit is available with immediate start.
With a preview of the exclusive individualisation package for the X6 F16, Hamann already attracted a lot of attention at Geneva Motor Show. Now, the car refiner from Laupheim brings the model based on the M50d to the streets. Entirely in the company style, the X6’s brawny and impressive appearance gets the distinctive Hamann touch with a complete wide-body kit. The ultra-lightweight bonnet completely made of carbon fibre catches the eye; its purposeful beads ensnare the raised “power dome”. The latter leaves no doubt that the car is something special. The ultra-lightweight bonnet weighs 10.5 kilograms only and is offered by Hamann including TÜV certificate.
Under the “BMW’s kidney” it is the one-piece front in characteristic Hamann style that impresses the spectator. The front skirt that reaches far down skilfully hides the technical equipment behind and creates space for individual fibre-optic daytime running lamps. On the sides, Hamann adds exclusively manufactured wings perfectly nestling to the standard body. Towards the front door, the angular contours of the powerfully shaped front wings open up into filigree air intakes. The wide-body kit makes the X6 M50d grow by twelve centimetres in width and set the perfect stage for the imposing wheel/tyre combination. Harmoniously profiled door panels and side skirts follow the lines from the front wings to the rear axle’s widened wheel houses. The vehicle’s side face is concluded by a rear that leaves a lasting impression in terms of exclusivity. A particularly sporty statement is the elegant rear wing with side edges made of carbon fibre.
Power advancement to up to 462 hp (340 kW)
For the Hamann experts it goes without saying that this self-confident design upgrade cannot stand alone. Hence, following its tradition, premium tuner Hamann steps up a gear from the first-class performance of the standard model. The Hamann model based on the M50d impresses with a power advancement to up to 462 hp (340 kW) at 4 400 rpm. Not only the “power infusion” of 79 hp compared to the standard model, but also the maximum torque entails “danger of addiction”: brute 890 Nm instead of 740 Nm at 2 000–3 000 rpm already.
Powerful diesel with imposing “V8 sound”
Hamann crowns the additional power with an “Active Sound System” and the sports exhaust system made of high-quality stainless steel. It hides a networked amplifier with two high-performance sound actuators that ensure an impressive “V8 sound”. The clou of Hamann’s development: the system cannot only be turned on and off with the start/stop button in the car, but also be controlled via the smartphone equipped with the special Hamann App that allows you to individually configure he sound characteristics and “prime” the sound system. Hamann integrated the hardware into the two mufflers with two silencers each and a total of four tail pipes that have a diameter of 89 millimetres. Depending on the vehicle’s colour or individual wishes, Hamann offers ceramic-coated tail pipes in black as well as chrome and carbon fibre designs.
First-class alignment of wheels, tyres and suspension
Leading part in terms of design and driving dynamics are the 23-inch light-alloy “Anniversary Evo” rims available in black, silver, and hyper black which comes with a noble black/silver lustre. Hamann wraps the one-piece high-quality rim in multi-spoke design with 315/25 R23 high-performance tyres that fulfil 100 per cent of the refiner’s requirements. RDK sensors are a matter of course. Driving dynamics and look Hamann further optimises by combining the wheels with sport springs which are perfectly aligned to the crossover’s axle load and high performance level. The springs lower the vehicle’s centre of gravity by sporty 45 millimetres on the front axle and by 30 millimetres on the rear axle.
In the interior, Hamann continues the exclusive lines with sport pedals and high-quality applications on headrests and in the foot space. A neat detail are the car door LED welcome lights that project the Hamann logo onto the floor.
The company from Laupheim has carefully combined different modules to achieve a perfectly concerted X6 M50d kit. However, the individual components can also be purchased separately. Hamann refines the cars at its headquarters in Laupheim as well as at international partner sites.
For high-performance vehicles, HAMANN uses and recommends high-performance lubricants from LIQUI MOLY.
