The UNION TANK Eckstein GmbH & Co. KG (UTA) is one of the main sponsors of the European Truck Racing Championship 2016. The fuel and service card provider is supporting the motor sport racing series for trucks and will be present at all nine events. The European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC) is being organized by the Fédération Internationale de l’Autombile (FIA) and is one of the most popular motor sport series in Europe.
“The European Truck Championship is an extremely exciting competition for us,” Kay Otte, Marketing Director of UTA, stated. “Speed, efficiency, innovation and passionate commitment: these attributes distinguish the spectacular racing series and stand for the services of our company and our employees at the same time,” Mr. Otte explained. “We have been supporting the successful Hahn racing team with the triple European champion Jochen Hahn for more than 10 years and see a logical continuation of our activities in motor sport for trucks in our renewed commitment in the ETRC.”
Georg Fuchs, Managing Director of Marketing and Commercial Affairs of the European Truck Racing Association (ETRA) added: “We are very happy to have won UTA as a sponsor. UTA is a dynamic company and fits perfectly to the truck race. Both sides benefit from this partnership.”
The racing series for trucks will start on the Red Bull Ring in Austria on 30 April/1 May. Additional race sites are Italy/Misano (28/29 May), France/Nogaro (11/12 June), Germany/Nürburgring (2/3 July), Hungary/Hungaroring (27/28 August), Czech Republic/Most (3/4 September), Belgium/Zolder (17/18 September), Spain/Jarama (1/2 October) and France/Le Mans (8/9 October). Between 430,000 and 460,000 motor sport fans watched the race series on site in recent years.
